Not sure where I've seen much complaint about The Secret other than old timer Law of Attraction followers (believers?) upset that something that well selling is a slightly dumbed down version of their understanding. If thats the case then, oh well whats the problem, how else would it have been so popularized?

The question of whether it is a religion is somewhat of a red herring I think. It would be specially troublesome if you are trying to fuse the Law of Attraction into Christianity for example. There are some similar points, but they are based on radically different philosophical structures on how the universe works.

The better question to ask is "is it good science?"

Also missing from your definition of religion is the division of reality into sacred and profane. Some things are holy and pure, some things are corrupt and impure. I think the Law of Attraction removes that division completely. It's a very innovative aspect of the philosophy.
